About GSA:

Green Source Automation was born out of the extensive automation and robotics experience of Ram Mechanical Inc. (RMI), a visionary global leader in industrial automation which dates back to the mid-1980s. Over fifteen years ago a few progressive dairymen approached RMI to discuss dairy automation alternatives for their milking parlors. Out of these conversations Green Source Automation was born and our unique solutions have continued to evolve. The application of continuous-flow-production in the rotary parlor has been significantly impacted by our dairy robots and we have helped create some of the most efficient and productive dairies in history.

Job Summary:

The Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a true partner to our operations team through their accounting acumen/expertise.

GSA is a small-business, this role will directly be involved in every step of the accounting department while paving the way for future company and departent growth.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Prepares the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
  • Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the companys performance.
  • Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
  • Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
  • Reconciling prepaid expenses and deposits
  • Account for fixed asset additions and disposals, update depreciation reports
  • Process insurance renewal information, maintain record of policies and breakdown of costs.
  • Workers comp renewals and audits.
  • Perform insurance audits as required
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Manage cash flow reporting– keeping accurate accounting, updating projections and communicating areas of concern.

AP

  • Manage and work with AP to ensure timely accurate entry of payables.
  • Reconciling credit card transactions
  • Assisting with communication payment information to suppliers.
  • Confirm appropriate approvals and back up prior to payment.
  • Ensure all vendor information is updated and accurately kept, including insurance certs, subcontract agreements, etc.
  • Present weekly payment selections, ensuring “must pays” paid timely.
  • Approve and process ACH/wire payments

AR

  • Put together all billings – new projects, IAP monthly billings, parts and consumables billings.
  • Identify and initiate IAP billings increases
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition, deposits, etc.
  • Perform collection calls as needed, working with customers on payment arrangements. Getting with the team if there are issues/concerns.

Financials

  • Review prepared financial for CPA for tax returns, ensure accuracy.
  • Work with CPA to answer questions and ensure accuracy of tax returns as best I can.
  • Distribute K1s to ownership

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience in Netsuite, strongly desired, not required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • Ten years or more of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Able to travel as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
